For Customers

The demand for teleradiology is high – more so now than ever.

The radiology workforce shortfall is widely publicised, with the Royal College of Radiologists estimating a current 31% shortage of clinical radiologists – a figure that is projected to rise to 41% in five years’ time. Consequently, teleradiology has grown in popularity as a sustainable alternative to increase reporting capacity, with highly-skilled clinicians located outside hospital returning reports outside normal UK working hours. We are proud to have a highly-skilled cohort of sub-specialty trained radiologists whose reporting is fast, accurate and comprehensive.

The foundation of our reporting services are our dedicated operations team, who are on hand to provide 24/7 support not only to our radiologists, but importantly to our clients. We are committed to supplying a personalised, tailored approach to suit the needs of any radiology unit.

The mobilisation period will be agreed within the contract- but more generally, DMC Radiology Reporting have the ability to mobilise quickly to swiftly tackle the challenges facing your radiology unit. Our operating platforms are compatible with any connection across NHS trusts, and we have the capacity to begin reporting on studies within 30 days of agreement of contract.

By working with DMC Radiology Reporting, you will receive fast and accurate reporting services at a cost-effective rate. But that is what everyone will claim to offer. We have two points of differentiation:

  • Clinical experience: we are genuinely clinically-led by our co-founders and career-long cardiothoracic radiologists – Profs. Sujal Desai and Simon Padley – who have over 50+ years’ combined experience of service delivery. They have curated our radiologist cohort and know exactly what your radiology unit requires from a reporting service.
  • Personalised approach: Unlike other teleradiology providers, we are proud to employ a personalised approach. From our dedicated operations team to our MDT support provision to our rapid and varied connectivity solutions: we mould our service to suit your needs.

Yes, we do. We provide monthly reports to the radiology unit manager, and have the capacity and expertise to provide MDT support – if outlined in the contract agreements.

Our standard turn-around time window is 72 hours. However, over the last year we have returned 82% of our outsourced reports within 48 hours, and 61% of our reports within 24 hours – if you have the need for a shorter window, indicate this within a proposal request and we would be happy to help!

Sub-specialty reporting is a vital element of our service. Currently, our skilled group of sub-specialty trained radiologists can report on the following areas and more:

Head & Neck Imaging, MSK Reporting, CT Colonoscopy, CR Cholangiograhy, Whole Body MRI, PET-CT, Nuclear Medicine, Prostatic Imaging, HRCT Chest Studies, Gynaecological Imaging

For Radiologists

Unlike other teleradiology companies, we don’t require any minimum reporting requirements: you are free to decide when you work, where you work and how much you work. However, if you are keen to take on more work on a monthly basis, we do have a competitive Reporting Volume Incentive scheme, which grants volume-based pay increases. Get in touch here to find out more.

This is totally up to you. Our PACS/RIS platform is cloud-based, and is compatible with existing NHS workstations – so you are free to use anything you might already own, pending a check by our operations team. However, we also have a generous kit provision for remote reporters (including a monitor, surface tablet and laptop), if you wish to exercise this option.

Yes – depending on where you are registered and wish to report from, indemnity will need to be secured. For more details on indemnity and the application process, please visit our ‘Get Started’ page.

During the application process, you will be invited to indicate your sub-specialty interests and we will duly tailor your worklists to your strengths.

We require any reporting radiologist to be on the GMC Specialist Register, and to have received the FRCR qualification, following 34 months of full-time clinical radiology training.

Yes, there is. We offer a highly competitive volume incentive scheme to boost renumeration potential for our radiologists, appropriately reflecting their value in the company. For further details on exactly what this scheme entails, please get in touch with our Clinical Recruitment Manager here.

Any existing radiologist is absolutely welcome to refer a colleague or friend to report with us – and in doing so will qualify for our Referral Bonus:

  • Referrers will be paid a £750 bonus for each radiologist referred (on completion of 250 MRI equivalents)
  • The joining radiologist will be paid £250 as a bonus for onboarding and initiating reporting (on completion of 250 MRI equivalents)

Clinical Effectiveness

Clinical effectiveness means ensuring that all aspects of service delivery are designed to provide the best outcomes for patients. This is achieved by ensuring that the right care is delivered to the right person at the right time they are in need and in the correct setting.

Information

A patient’s information should always be up to date and correct on any systems used. It should also be confidential through correct storage and management of data.

Risk Management

Risk Management involves having robust systems in place to understand, monitor and minimise the risks to patients and staff and to learn from mistakes. When things go wrong in the delivery of care, our staff teams should feel safe admitting it and be able to learn and share what they have learnt, which embeds change in practice.

Patient & Public Involvement

Communication with patients and the public is essential to gain insight on the quality of care we deliver, and any possible problems that can result. Public involvement is equally as important to ensure that patient and public feedback is used to improve services into day-to-day practice for better patient outcomes.

Education & Training

This encompasses the provision of appropriate support to enable staff to be competent in doing their jobs and to develop their skills so that they are up to date. Professional development needs to continue through lifelong learning.

Staff Management

This ensures the organisation recruits highly skilled staff and aligns them with the correct job roles. Staff are supported in professional development and to gain and improve their skills.

Audit

The aim of the audit process is to ensure that clinical practice is continuously monitored and that deficiencies in relation to set standards of care are remedied. Research goes alongside audits to pioneer best practice improvements.
